chris brown-then and now

I'm supposed to take my shower right now, but shower can wait.
first of all, i'm not even sure if i'm part of Team Breezy. i just love Chris Brown's songs, since Yeah 3X, and it only got better with Don't Wake Me Up, International Love, and his latest, Fine China.
back then in 2006
he started his career back then in 2005 and didn't do so well in 2009 when he hit Rihanna and he was just so troubled. after the whole hitting-a-girl-is-so-cruel-of-Chris-Brown drama, he came clean in 2010 with Yeah 3X, and it was super smooth that people (me) could accept him and his music. his comeback was perfect, he wasn't the Chris Brown we used to know.
in the picture here, Chris is wearing an oversized hood, and beneath it, he's definitely wearing a baggy shirt. he definitely covered everything in this picture. he always has this cool baseball cap in every other video, and i don't think he's too much into the tattooing stuff yet. looking back at his videos, there were a little graffiti going on, but not that much and his painting aren't that mind blowing. most of them are words, painted in the background.
i almost forgot about his dancing moves in videos back then, when he was younger. a lot of videos like Run It, Wall to Wall, and Kiss Kiss are cool, but it wasn't anything like his dance moves now. he doesn't do the flipping in the air thingy, most of them were really really fast foot work-which was cool.
2013
so, how different is Chris Brown now?
he takes off his clothes almost all the time in his videos. i remember watching Yeah 3X and Don't Wake Me Up where Chris took off his clothes, showing his body full of tatts. the other thing is that he improved so much on his dancing moves. he made sure he was dancing faster than his back-up dancers, which is cool. there are more footwork and more flipping in the air. he also ditched his hoodie and his cap, wear less clothes or rather fitted clothes to show his body. plus, he also stopped making music videos about a young high school boy like he did in Run It, Wall To Wall, and Say Goodbye.
conclusion is, i love his young innocent boy look he had but i like the man he became! ^_~

1920-Evil Returns movie review

Assalamualaikum, everybody. hello there.
today, i would like to comment and give my feedback on a Hindi movie i just watched, 1920-Evil Returns.
the movie is written by Vikram Bhatt, and as a Bollywood fan you'd know by now that Vikram only makes movies with thriller-horror genre. *at least that's what i think* some of his best projects include Raaz, Inteha, Jurm and Aetbaar. this movie 1920-Evil Returns is one of his most recent work. the movie came out last year (2012), but i only got to watch it now. out of the cast list, there's only one person i know by heart. Aftab Shivdasani. he's the lead actor a.k.a. the hero! *wohoo* the movie setting was somewhere back in the olden and classic days, obviously in the 1920s. in the movie, people travelled with a carriage and horses, no motor-vehicles. and all the costumes and clothes the cast members wore throughout the movie was super cute and spot on! what i mean is that whatever they put on reflects the era the movie was in-the 20s. the movie was shot in German. *i knew this from Aftab himself...via Twitter* so, you can expect the scenery to be full of flowers, you can hear the sound of wind during the day and at night, it is dark and creepy.
Aftab-travel by horses-check out what he's wearing
the movie is about Jaidev Verma, a poet who loss the life of the girl he loves though he never met her. they fell in love while sharing each others words of love through poetry, by writing to one another. neither of them have ever met. so one day, after two years the love of his life passed away, he made a decision to clear up his mind and write some poem. that's when he spotted a body lying at the shore. it was a girl, and she was unconscious. he brought her home and she couldn't remember anything after she gained her consciousness.
there is definitely a ghost, or shall i say evil spirits in the movie. sometimes, Vikram Bhatt's movies are thriller based that at the end of the day, there's no ghost, just lots of thrills. so, don't worry much about not seeing the evil spirit, it will come, all you gotta do is open up wide and be very very sensitive to every character in the movie. small or big, they all play a part in the movie.
Aftab worked out for a whole year
before signing this movie
how i feel after watching the movie?
absolutely blown away by everything! but there are also some parts in the movie that made me want to laugh. the simplest thing like running and screaming made me laugh. the expression just didn't get to the level it should i guess. but only certain parts. hehee..
one of the funniest ever is the part where Aftab will have to forcefully break open the door because the lead actress refused to open the door. with the buff body he has, it was funny how he used so little force to break open the door, it was almost unreal. the other thing is the X-ray. as far as i know, X-ray beam only pass through a medium which is present. could X-ray display evil spirits?
watch the movie and tell me what you think alright?
a scene from Apnaa Mujhe Tu Lagaa
a Hindi movie is never complete without it's songs! shall we see what i personally think of the songs? hehee...
there are altogether four songs in the movie. and my personal favourites are Khud Ko Tere and Apnaa Mujhe Tu Lagaa. the singer for the 2nd song is Sonu Nigam and his sweet and soft voice blew me away. the song is already a romantic-based song, so his voice blended so perfectly with the song, i love it so much! *listening to the song as i'm typing now*
i hope you guys would enjoy the movie as much as i have. this is my first Hindi horror movie after so long and i'm impressed. i give the movie a 4-4.5 stars out of 5 stars!

let's get married!

Assalamualaikum, peeps.
i know i haven't been logging for a while now. i was so caught up with student life and the holidays, and the general election. hahaa..i was too lazy to write about anything, that's why i didn't blog. *please don't kill me. i love you!*
so, here we are again, talking about marriage. i'm really sorry but i just have to talk about this again and again, because i'm so shocked at what people (younger people) really thinks about marriage.
exactly my question
i went to lots of talks and the ustaz and ustazah would recommend those who are in a relationship to proceed to marriage, because it's the best thing to do. yes, i agree with that. but one thing i don't agree is 'rushing' into it. i have a friend who have been in a relationship for 2-3 years now. it's a long distance relationship. and they  always talk about marriage. they even made a plan what happens after they get married. best part is the guy told her dad about their relationship and that he wanted to marry her...through FB. *in my case, please, ask me for my dad's number, call him, set a date and meet him face-to-face, and tell him you wanna marry me. ehem ehem, promote diri betul*
the funny thing is that she wanted a super small wedding, whereby she said it will only cost her not more than RM3000 for a whole wedding. no pelamin (it's actually a cushion-like chair, decorated beautifully for both the groom and bride to sit on, while people come over to snap pictures), wedding reception will be held outside the house, no need for a wedding gown (she'll just wear her old baju kurung) and i don't know what else.
she even had a plan, whereby she would still live with her parents as he sends her RM100-150 monthly as 'nafkah' (it's kindda like some money for the wife to spend which must be given by the husband even though the wife is also working). of course she also has her scholarship, but as far as i elieve is right, once we are married, we shouldn't bother our parents anymore. what's the point of marriage for us (woman) if we still go bother our parents for anything at all, when our husband has given us money for us? this is just my philosophy, whereby i will try to not bother my parents anymore once i'm married. of course parents don't mind spending on their child financially, i just think it's inappropriate. 'nafkah' would never be a MUST in Islam if the woman still depend on her parents financially.
let's hold hands!
the best part is that she mentioned that she could spend time with him, holding hands and teasing in other in public, without getting sins, as they are married. so the whole point of marrying one another is so that you could hold hands in public? haiyoo!! i am speechless!
truth is, i am not against marriage at early age, of marriage while studying, it's okay with me. but please make sure the reason you marry one another is clear, not for silly reasons like holding hands in public. i have a couple of seniors who got married, one of them married because she needed support emotionally, as she is a revert, and her dad was against it, and she had never went back since then. she needed emotional support and insyaAllah, i hope she got that already since she's married now, and she goes back to her husband's place every now and then. this, i can accept!
in my case, i'm not so sure i'm fit to go into marriage now. i was ironing my clothes and after ironing 4 items, i was tired and already started grumbling. then, it came to my mind, what if i were to iron my husband's clothes as well? and what if he wears the very very formal attire to work, with vest and a suit? meaning, i have to iron about 5 items just for him, plus mine, altogether there's 9! doing this every night? i'll go nuts! haha...
i know there's always compromise in marriage, just that i don't think i can handle so much at the state i am now, a student. but i can never do anything aout anything because everything is God's plan. if it's written up there in Luh Mahfuz that i will marry while i'm still studying, then it will happen. if it's written there that i will get married to a guy who wear 6 items to work and who is fussy, then he is my husband. hahaa...i know i'm already crapping.
love seeing old couples, everything about them is cute

wassup Turkey?

Assalamualaikum, and g'day all readers.
Ustaz Hasrizal
first of all, i would like to apologize for not updating my blog for a long time. *it's been two weeks, it's long for me* another apology from me because i have not been updating on knowledgeable stuff, but have been crapping about mother-in-laws. just kill me already!
so, this post goes back to about a month ago, when we had this talk in our University. this post is going to be in Malay-English mix, because i wrote them in my notebook that way. the talk was given by Ustaz Hasrizal, a famous Islamic author in Malaysia, a part-time blogger and full-time daddy to a newborn girl.
The interesting part about Ustaz Hasrizal is the way he presented the talk-he narrates. he narrated based on his experiences and as he speaks about his experiences, he inserts a bit of what Turkey is all about.
i won't be talking about his journey in Turkey, but i will emphasize on what he highlighted about the Turkish people.
According to Ustaz Hasrizal, the Turkish are very civilized people, they have different rooms for shower and toilet, so that when one performs the ablution, he will be free of najis, or stuff that comes in the way when one performs prayers in Islam. also, he noticed, the Turkish people washes a clean glass before pouring water in it. even though they already know the glass is clean, they re-wash it just to be sure that the glass is super clean before they pour anything in it.
The Turkish are very warm people, to the point where they would invite strangers to live in their house, if it is necessary.
In certain universities in Turkey, there is such a course like studying the Language of History and Geography so that the people would be able to learn on how to read old manuscripts. this shows us how civilized the people are. they pay so much attention to the little details in learning, nothing escapes the subject of knowledge in Turkey.
The Turkish Muslims are very simple-minded, in such ways that they will not think negatively about another Muslims, for the sake of this: all Muslims are brothers and sisters.
when will be ever be like them?
also, during prayers especially in the mosques, the people would reach down and take their slippers above their head so that nobody else would come in contact with the slippers. *slippers are meant to be dirty, we step on various elements on the road* even when one wants to put on his shoes, a stick is provided so that the person will not come in contact with the shoes. again, for the same reasons. what we can see here is that if you look into the minute details, we can see how civilised Turkish people are.
however, the ustaz also said that Turkey in 2013 isn't the same as Turkey in 2003. in 2003, Turkey had inflation and the people were stressful, however all of the people felt they had to stand up as one and save themselves, bring back the glory of Turkey. they didn't want to be known for what they did, all they cared was to bring back the glory to their country, with such purity in their hearts.
they are also not afraid of changes. some of the people try to convince others for a change, so that Turkey shall rise again. and they did!
