the earth song

i realized i haven't been blogging for quite some time now. i always have so much to write about when i'm in my class, but once i got back and i turn on the computer, 'what was it i wanted to wrote about just now?' is always the question i ask myself.
it was Earth Hour a few days back. and i just played the Earth Song from Michael Jackson. to be honest, this song still creeps the hell outta me. this is the first song i ever loved from MJ. i was very much a little kiddo when i first got to know him. my sister told me a few times how i play the tape of Michael Jackson's concert and instead of singing or dancing to the songs, all i do is stare at the television and count how many ladies fainted in the video. *i am cute right?* i don't remember any of these. and the most probable explaination to why i was counting is that i just learnt numbers from my mum and grandpa. haha...
as an animal lover, i enjoyed watching the video because there's so much animals in the video. i remember elephants, whales and rhinos in the video. and it broke my heart watched how men kill these endangered species just to get their trunk and leave them to die. then, we have deforestration. i got to see the damage done-which is the whole forest was cleared off, there were no trees as the effects of deforestration.
wanna know which scenes in the music video brings goosebumps to me?? *i bet if i watch the video right now, i would still have goosebumps and the same scenes* when the big, heavy elephant got up to its feet and started walking, when the earth shook and the barks of the trees became one without a single defect. *tearing up as we speak* i don't quite remember the other parts of the video.
last but not least, at almost the end of the video, where MJ would cling on to two trees with the strong wind, and the smoke. he was screaming along the song, as he stomps his feet on the ground, summoning the forces of nature to get up and fight against the cruelty of man. and in the end, everything went back to its original condition, and the world is at peace again.

~when i was a kid, i thought Michael Jackson was a lady. i didn't know his name, i knew him as the girl who has long dark curly hair, face so white, in a black suit and a black hat with some of her hair in front of her face. she's humble when she went up to get her award. i would just stare at her face not understanding a word she said, but somehow, i was happy and excited for her win. yeah, that girl is Michael Jackson~

R.I.P Michael Jackson
