ego

well, today, imma gonna talk about ego. seems like lately there's been too much of ego in the air.

1- not admitting to your faults
sometimes, it ain't easy to confront someone and apologize fr what you've done. i mean, seriously, the 'Sorry' part is way easier than explaining why you're saying sorry. when explaining, you' re actually showing the other person the downfall of you. for instance, you lost your friend's pencil. and you apologize to him.
'I'm sorry. i lost your pencil' of course the person would think twice before borrowing you his belongings. but, one thing you didn't realize is the fact that he respects you for apologizing, because he knows only who admits his mistakes is a wise man.

2- listen to others
it's hard to listen to what others want to say when all the while you've had it your way. you grow older, young people are getting smarter and more creative. there must be some reasons why these kids are not listening to you anymore. maybe you should change? change for the better is okay, change for the worse is not tolerated.

3- respect others
seems like kids are disrespectful to their parents and the elderly. well, it's okay if you think what you're doing is right, but at least listen to what the elders want to say. try to accept what's been told and change for the better if possible. do you like it if people look at you and say that you're being disrespectful and they don't like talking to you because they think you can't accept theirs? there are ways to make people change for the better, but you need to follow the sequence Islam has given. there are many steps in trying to talk to people, so that they change the way Islam wants them to. but, the method must be in such way that the elders don't feel hurt by you.
